Regional and Rural Development Minister Jacinta Allan announced the Support for Organics grant program on Tuesday 20th October 2009 to support Victoria's organic food sector as part of National Organic Week at the Queen Victoria Market.

The new program, which is being funded through the Future Farming Strategy, will encourage production, consumption and export of organic products. The Victorian Government is leading the nation in its support for the organic food industry, with other states paying close attention.
